Troy loves working with people. He has built a career helping others achieve their goals through goal-setting, discipline and hard work. Originally trained in communication, he molded those skills over to the rehabilitation fitness field, training individuals in the process of healing from devastating brain injuries, as well as training seasoned athletes. Troy knows first-hand the hardships of overcoming a brain injury. In 2003, He was involved in an MVC and sustained a brain injury. After struggling with recovery for more than 8 years, Troy started to run and this helped with his rehabilitation. In 2011 he formed Troy's Run Foundation, and in 2012 he successfully ran throughout and across Canada, establishing this newly formed Charity. Troy excels in public speaking and continues to educate people on the matter of brain injury awareness. Troy loves his career at Brainworks Rehab, and joined their team in 2013. Troy uses his knowledge of ABI to help inspire, engage, and empower others to be their best.
Lisa grew up just outside of Forest, Ontario spending a lot of time outside. In late 2012 she secured Charitable Status for Troy's Run Foundation. Recently graduating with honors from the combined Physiotherapy/ Occupational Therapy Assistant Diploma Program at triOS College. She worked for VON as a SMART Instructor and has successfully completed the SFIC Course through the CCAA. Lisa Interned at Strathroy-Middlesex General Hospital for four months finishing in April of 2014. Most recently hired as a PTA at a Long Term Care residence in Sarnia, Ontario through Centric Health. Lisa enjoys working in the rehabilitation sector and continues to upgrade her education and research on the latest information surrounding brain injuries.
